Checking for Template Errors

Your Website Spokesperson

When you start building your Internet business your site will use templates, either for a website or blog. Now days some blogs look like website so it’s becoming harder to tell the difference. Either case it’s fun to check out your template for errors.

Template Errors

As I mentioned before there are many different aspects to the Internet business, there are people who know a lot more than I in some of these areas, this is one of them. For the average persons like you and me we can do a quick check to see if a template we choose to use is clean, reduced errors. This can aid in better SEO rankings for the search engines.

This site is called W3C Markup Validation, just put the url of an existing site in the box or load the template you are thinking of using into a blank site and do the same thing. From there the site offers a few FREE fix tips, then you can search for more ways to fix your site from there.

Some templates are SEO optimized meaning the code used to make it is pretty clean, others are just slopped together and look nice, but hard for the search engines to read.

There are always exceptions to the rule, I have one to show you. This is Grizzly’s Site, it’s an example of a site template with a lot of errors but is still number one in a highly competitive market. Look it up by searching for “making money online beginners” it should be in the top three on the first page.

The point is why not start with a good template, this in itself will not get you to the #1 spot on Google, but it will help and being aware of this can’t hurt.
