Check Spelling

I have to stress the importance of spelling. Were not perfect, but when words are the main thrust of communication with a visitor, spelling is critical for success. I have and I’m sure you have come across some sites that might have had something good to say, but every other word was spelled wrong or the construction was so bad it became painful to read, be aware of this.

Use Spell Check to Check Spelling

There is really no good reason to have multiple spelling mistakes when spell check is available in most software. You want to have fun writing and communicating with a customer, but just take the extra moment or two to go back and spell check you posting.

In fact this stands true with articles you write, comments you make or any other place you might leave your foot prints. In person you are judged by your appearance, in the Internet business judgement comes from your content/spelling.

One thing I’ve come across is spellcheck can make errors too. Really spellcheck hasn’t done anything wrong,  I’ll explain. You meant to type OFF but you typed OF, even though it’s wrong both words are spelled right. Unless you have a grammar checker you will have to check for this manually. Will it always be perfect, No and people will overlook a few errors, but if every other sentence has errors you will lose customers.

Don’t Misspell Keywords – Important

When you learn what Keywords and Labels are you will see how important spelling is. If you take extra time in any area take it in these. Keywords and Labels are the holy grail for people searching on Google and other search engines, messing up here will destroy your rankings.

If you make a keyword plural or something like that you might get away with it, but otherwise be very careful in these areas.

Remember: If someone is searching for Red Books and your type Read Books well, you get my point.
