Starting An Internet Business – We Make it Simple

If you want to start an Internet business, then making money online with mini sites is the best way to start. These are also know a niche sites, there one in the same. The purpose of these sites is to provide the searcher with specific information targeted at a specific subject. Bigger more broad based sites are know as authority sites.

Some mini sites have been given a bad rap because they are sometimes only 5-6 pages. There is no argument that many of these sites are junk, they have no intention of providing good information. The main intention of these junk sites are for clicks only.

A informative mini site, even with 5 or 6 pages, can make good money and provide the searcher with the information they want. I believe Google likes these quality sites because there not intrusive on the searcher. If you want information about red apples and a big authoritative site has red apples plus a whole slew of other types, the information might get diluted. On the other hand a mini site can be concise and to the point.

The one thing to remember is make your content Vaguely Specific, what does this mean? If your making money from people clicking on ads then you can’t provide all the answers in your content. Some will disagree, but I ask what reason would a visitor have to continue looking at your ads if you gave them all the answers. This doesn’t mean you write sloppy text, no. Give a reader solid content, but leave a few ends open so they can continue looking.

How Can You Make Money with Mini Sites?

Make no mistakes, the majority of mini site owners want to make money. The difference between a good and bad one is the good one wants to provide good content too.

There’s a fair amount of preparation if you do it right. You have to select a good subject, make sure the adsense revenue is correct, checking for good affiliate products to sell, do keyword research and a few other things.

The ultimate goal is to build little sites, promote them, then let Google place it where you get traffic. This doesn’t always happen so you have to play the game of numbers. Having hundreds of these sites is not uncommon over time, this is a full time business for some folks.

The word passive income is associated with these small sites, once you build and promote it that’s it, move on to the next one. It’s quite a fascinating business because there are millions of subjects searched for, and like the days of the gold rush people doing this business are looking for the gold “Niche” nuggets.

What makes the business of mini sites lucrative is markets are always changing, this means what people search for and buy is changing. This makes for new opportunities all the time.

There are several ways to make money, here’s the common ones.

• Adsense Ads (pay per click)
• Search (similar to adsense)
• Affiliate Products (selling related ebooks)
• Building Lists (not immediate income, big potential later on)

If you find services or anything else related to the subject these mini sites can be used to promote it. The key with products is finding what the customer needs/wants and finding a good quality product. If you fail in either area you’ll lose sales.

Now you want to know how much can you make? You did all the work, you did a good job, what’s the payoff?

The Internet business is not like a steady paycheck, markets fluctuate and so does the income. What everybody shoots for is $5.00 a day from each site. That doesn’t sound like much and by itself it isn’t, but build 10 mini sites and that’s now $50.00  a day or $1500.00 a month.

This is building a business, once you get to a certain point you will outsource some duties and quicken the process. Not all sites will be a success, this is reality. That’s where the numbers game comes into play.

There’s another money angle to this, you can sell your site in the future. Similar to real estate if your site is making good money online you can sell it for a premium.

Think of each site as a piece of Internet property, if you get good traffic the advertisers are renting space from you and it has resale value. I’ve seen some mini sites sell in the hundreds of thousands at there peak.

For someone starting an Internet business this type is a great place to start. You have to think long term and set goals to increase your income by realistic percentages each month. It’s not unrealistic to have a mid five figure income after a few years.
