Make Life Easier – Tips On Finding Good Information

The Internet is all about providing information, sending it and selling it. Starting an Internet business can be overwhelming when your out searching for things you need. I have some tips that will help you store and save time. Don’t make it harder than it is, take it easy on yourself.

How to Use Exiting Information on the Internet

I advocate subscribing to as many site and Opt-In offers as catch your eye, the key is catch your eye.

There’s 2 simple ways to store them, set-up a separate email for junk and use a RSS feed storage like Bloglines.com. Don’t destroy your focus if you come across something that catches you eye, come back to it at a later time.

What’s the value? What you want to learn from these are:

1. What caught your eye?

2. Who are they targeting?

3. Can you improve it?

Chances are the content in most cases won’t benefit you, but these are good exercises for learning and best of all it’s Free.

What catches your eyes will catch others too. When it comes time for you to design some pages you’ll already have some ideas from this practice.

Pay close attention to the way the advertiser uses tools, such as:

  • “Quotation Marks”
  • Italics
  • Bolding
  • Highlighting
  • Underlining
  • Colors
  • Pictures
  • Links (to offers and other sites)
  • Font Size
  • Font Type

Again, use yourself as a guide. Notate what appeals to you and what makes it hard to read.  You might want to re-read the post on Check Spelling, this by itself could destroy a perfectly good posting.

You want a separate Email, especially if you Opt-In to a lot of stuff, because you will get a lot of junk in the future.

Just take an hour here and there to look at what you found, this is time well spent in preparation for your turn. You’ll have some ideas already in mind from this exercise when you time comes to make these ads.

Finding Useful Information

You might find yourself spending more time searching than working, an error made by many starting an Internet business. Yours truly was just as guilt as anybody.

A lot of information is outdated, you don’t know what to do with it or it doesn’t fit your needs. Then you come across something that’s useful, it’s good information, this is a keeper.

My advice here is simple, find a few sources that you deem good information and stay with them. These are the sources you want to take the time to read. Narrow it down to 3 or 4 places and use a different email to save these sites.

Regard these sources as your Go To Guys. Ask questions, starting your own Internet business requires learning a new culture, questions are expected.

Now there’s another part to this, Networking.

Finding these sources of Good information starts the relationship of networking. If your getting good information, your learning, understanding and it’s helping you in your business, then give back.

What I mean by this is, that person is running a Internet business just like your starting, at some point they will extend offers for products or services. Why would you not support, patronize their business if they really gave you good information that helped improve yours. This is only good networking.

When your business grows and your giving out good information, expect the same. Don’t make the mistake of getting over enthusiastic and give out good content, then offer sub-par products.

Other Sources Of Good Information

At some point you’ll have the need for more information that your present sources might not have. Does this mean you have to go through the maze of searching all over again? No, your networking efforts will pay off by referrals.

Chances are good that your existing sources have relationships with other people who can help. The chances are also good that these sources will provide you with Good information too.

One thing you must realize is, as big as the Internet world is it’s still a small world because of viral information. I tell 2 people, they tell 2 and before you know it millions of people got the message. So you can rest assured your existing sources you built trust in won’t betray that just for a few commission bucks.

Use these tips, find good information for your business and not only use the content but observe the overall process. You’ll soon be doing exactly the same for someone else. This will make life easier and it will be the start of you networking your business.
